Artist's statement

I was born in Moscow. The cityscape that consisted of panel buildings and elements of urban environment surrounded me since childhood. The architecture has been my subject of investigation. It helped me to explore life and allowed me to dive deeper in identifying myself and my place in this world. In my artistic practice I explore human bonds with the nature, the influence of external factors on the internal state of a person. I build my own coordinate system by capturing different places and city elements. This helps me to understand my own personality better. My method is based on painting and graphic techniques. Also I create objects that combine different media such as sculpture, video installation and photo printing.
